Back after a two week break in Greece. Looking forward to getting back in the garage and continuing the build. With the rear bulkhead and the two side panels finished, I start work on the front bulk head where the master cylinders sit.
This took quite a few fittings, but in the end the fit was acceptable. Templates are the answer even through it takes a while it's worth it. Tips here are not to mark for rivets all the way to the top as you can't get access with the rivet gun, and not too drill the top as the cockpit body sits here and you rivet at the body stage.
Matthew popped over and we flipped the chassis to start on the floors. These as everybody has said are quite straight forward to mark out, drill, bond and rivet. There are a couple of things to do before you actually start riveting though, and that is to clear the powder coating from the pedal mounting holes and if you have the double skin option to mark out the cross brace on the double skin so that you know where to mark out for drilling etc...
